Elsouq (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the Elsouq mobile application and website at elsouq.anmka.com (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our fashion e-commerce platform in Egypt.

By creating an account or placing an order, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

2. Information we collect

Account & profile: name, email address, phone number, password (stored hashed), profile photo (optional).

Orders & delivery: shipping and billing addresses, order items, payment method (e.g. Cash on Delivery), order notes, order history.

Authentication: if you use Sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple, we receive your provider identifier, email, and name as permitted by that provider.

Device & app: push notification token (if you allow notifications), device platform (iOS/Android), app version, session/analytics identifiers for app performance and fraud prevention.

Support: messages you send via contact forms, support tickets, or phone numbers listed in the app.

Reviews: ratings, review text, and optional images you submit for products.

3. How we use your information

• Create and manage your account
• Process and deliver orders (including COD fulfilment)
• Send order confirmations, status updates, and OTP/verification emails
• Provide customer support
• Send push notifications about orders (with your consent)
• Improve our app, catalogue, and security
• Comply with legal obligations

4. Legal basis (where applicable)

We process personal data to perform our contract with you (fulfilling orders), with your consent (marketing/push where required), and for legitimate interests (security, analytics, fraud prevention).

5. Sharing with third parties

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:

• Service providers — hosting, email delivery, cloud storage (e.g. product images), analytics, and push notification services
• Payment partners — only if you choose an online payment method (currently Cash on Delivery is the primary method)
• Delivery partners — name, phone, and address to deliver your order
• Legal authorities — when required by law or to protect our rights

6. Data retention

We keep account data while your account is active. Order records may be retained for accounting, tax, and legal purposes even after account deletion (personal identifiers are removed or anonymised where possible).

7. Account deletion

You may permanently delete your account from the app: Profile → Settings → Delete Account. Deletion removes your profile, cart, wishlist, addresses, and reviews. Order history may be kept in anonymised form. See our mobile API documentation for technical details.

8. Push notifications

If you enable notifications, we store a device token to send order updates. You can disable notifications in your device settings at any time.

9. Analytics & tracking

We may use first-party analytics to understand app usage and improve the Service. If we use cross-app advertising tracking, we will request your permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) on iOS.

10. Security

We use industry-standard measures including HTTPS encryption, hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

11. Children's privacy

Our Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal data.

12. Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, or deletion of your data. Account deletion is available in-app. For other requests, contact us below.

13. Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
